Lago y Tierra was born in 1974 thanks to our director and founder, Mr. Juan García Vega, better known as Kim (who is a friend to all). He had the dream of creating a place where children of all ages could come together to learn to live in harmony with nature through the scout method.
After achieving the goal of establishing Lago y Tierra Camp, it not only became a camping site but also a support system, providing structure to new camps. It joined the International Camping Fellowship and became a founding member of the Mexican Camp Association (AMC), where we are currently active members.
Juan García Vega (Kim) will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew him. At Lago y Tierra, we honor his legacy by welcoming new children, training instructors, coordinators, and staff members to make this world a better place than we found it.

Dedicated to guiding girls and boys through programs that offer the opportunity to experience outdoor life in direct contact with nature and through values education with the aim of strengthening their mental and physical health, thereby contributing to the creation of humane leaders for the future.
Set against the backdrop of nature, we wish to take advantage of the seasons when we welcome our children to invite them to cultivate moral and spiritual values in an atmosphere of warmth. We avoid violence and aggressive competition through games and practices that always recognize the BEST EFFORT that each child makes according to their abilities.
Our camp is located in Valle de Bravo, State of Mexico, with an approximate area of 17 hectares (3 for facilities and 14 of forest), and with 24-hour security equipment.
With over 50 years of experience, hosting more than 2,000 children annually, and welcoming over 1,000 schools, we have become a trusted destination for nature-based learning and character development.
